Jay Sigmund On April 19, 2009, Iowa Public Television aired the broadcast premiere of Poetry of Place, an hour-long documentary about the Regionalist arts in Iowa during the Great Depression. Painters Grant Wood and Marvin Cone, and writers Jay Sigmund and Paul Engle created prolifically during the 1920s - 1940s, primarily in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area. Grant Wood at the Stone City Art Colony During 2007-08, New Leaf Interactive Media's Dean Rathje produced this documentary, using a scriptwriting grant from Humanities Iowa. Devonian Fossil Gorge Video New Leaf produced an orientation video about the history of the Coralville Dam and the Devonian Fossil Gorge. The video was subsequently used for a touchscreen exhibit in the Coralville Lake Visitor Center.
Carriers
New Leaf created a history education CD for the History Center: "TimeQuest Toolbox." The CD helps students use primary sources for history research. This video clip, "Carriers," talks about the life of a Cedar Rapids Gazette newsboy.
